Becoming Catholic

The Catholic faith is truly something extraordinary, being over two-thousand years old, and having endured empires, world rulers, and civilizations both being born and falling into ruin- and yet still remaining strong itself. This is because this is something divine- and not mere human invention. We receive so much through the gift of faith, and if we truly understand it well, it can set our life on an entirely new course and in a new direction.

This is where a question often comes up: can I also become Catholic? The answer? Of course! Anyone who is open to pursuing the truth with an open heart and mind can. To this end, we have classes from around September through the Easter Vigil, which prepare both adults and children alike for the fruitful reception of the Sacraments of Initiation. Our dedicated team of volunteers have a wealth of knowledge and experience that make their teaching of the faith not only informational, but also engaging.

Our dedicated Teachers: Gera, Cheri, and Elizabeth

These classes cover all sorts of content, from the basics of the faith, through answering some of the more intricate questions that you may have. This isn’t just a class reserved for those who are becoming Catholic either- but is open to all who want to grow deeper in their faith!

If you or someone you know is interested in learning more about the Catholic faith, and potentially even becoming Catholic, please reach out to the parish office by calling 573-545-3864, or by sending us an Email.

Please do not hesitate to reach out and begin your faith journey. This is always a process that is dependent on your own journey, and you enter the Church only when you are ready! You won’t be forced to enter, but you may when you feel that Christ has truly opened your heart to receive His Grace

In the words of Pope Saint John Paul II, “Be not afraid, open wide the doors for Christ!”

Our introductory meeting for the 2025-2026 sessions will be Sunday, September 8, 2025, at 5:00pm in the St. Denis School Cafeteria. We look forward to seeing you there!
